Top ten list of childhood playthings.

Favourite childhood toys:

.) Pet hamster (buy it pregnant from the petstore...it's like a furry Kinder Egg.)

.)Stack of junk and a hackeysack (create a wall between you and your older brother, violently lob the beanbag at your opponent until someone can't catch it. The winner gets to punch/kick/backhand the loser.)

.) Micromachines (perfect building finger dexterity, painful for the parent who steps on them.)

.) Fire (Deep down, we're all just like Prometheus. Minus the having your liver pecked out every night)

.) The Dictionary (unless you had the internet, it may have been the only source for finding out new dirty words (and what they meant).)

.) Foamy noodle things (Jousting in the water with a foamy Excalibur)

.) Tape recorder ( Host your own talk show. I've always been a 'Radio Star' sympathizer.)

.) Kitchen stuff (Cornstarch + water = impossible to clean, Diet soda + Tums = even worse).

.) Trampoline (NOTHING is funnier or more thrilling than nearly breaking your neck.)

.) Snow ( It's mult-purpose, really. Ice forts, artillery, fat men waiting to die melting in the sun. I give the snow credit for every child's first pang of bloodlust.)
